Small Firm Innovation Wins ABA Journal Most Popular Site in Legal Practice Management Category

Small Firm Innovation, a blog dedicated to first person accounts of small firm success, won the ABA Journal’s Blawg100 competition for most popular blog in the Legal Practice Management (LPM) category.  The ABA announcement reports:

In the wake of the financial crisis and a rapidly shifting legal landscape, Small Firm Innovation launched in April of 2011 during the ABA’s legal technology showcase, ABA TECHSHOW. A resource by, and for, solo and small firm lawyers, the site focuses on two specific areas: the business side of running a law practice, and the nitty-gritty of what makes a law firm a success.

To help keep the site cohesive in its message, each month focuses on a theme. Themes in 2011 included: “Transitions”; “Paperless Law Offices”; “Time Management; and “End-of-Year Financial Lessons.”

Small Firm Innovation was created and is sponsored by Clio, a cloud-based practice management solution.

Small Firm Innovation focuses on two areas: the business aspect of running a law practice, and the nitty-gritty of what has made a solo and small firm practice a success. From seasoned and successful lawyers to the newly graduated, Small Firm Innovation emphasizes practical solutions for real-world challenges faced by solo and small firm lawyers. Monthly themes centered around first person accounts of small firm success creates a dynamic exchange of ready-to-implement ideas.
